The fast-changing organizational landscape in the modern world fosters a new trend toward environmental performance. poor and ineffective performance of higher education institutions (HEIs) shifts scholars focus sustainable practices over relying solely on technological improvements. This chapter explores influence green human resources management (GHRM) sustainability HEIs Karachi, Pakistan through lens Resource-Based View (RBV). Using qualitative research design, data were collected semi-structured interviews with 56 employees, analyzed via thematic analysis. study enriches limited body literature GHRM by exploring its role fostering HIEs. Additionally, it highlights challenges face when adopting to promote sustainability, discusses managerial implications provides insights for policymakers. Findings revealed that encourage eco-friendly behaviors, emphasizing need strategies within Pakistani's HIEs workforce.

Abstract With the growing demand for agricultural productivity worldwide, extensive use of pesticides in rural areas has emerged as a significant strategy raising crop yields. However, excessive chemical resulted number social and environmental issues, including water pollution, soil erosion, health hazards, all which have an impact on long-term viability economies. Through theoretical analysis field investigation, this work methodically investigates intricate relationship between chemicals sustainable economic growth. The study’s findings demonstrate that while increase temporarily, their prolonged usage weakens services provided by ecosystems, detrimental effect

Podczas wydobycia surowców promieniotwórczych, pierwiastków ziem rzadkich i innych z rud zawierających uran tor powstają różnego rodzaju odpady radioaktywne oraz niektóre poprodukcyjne. Published: Jan. 1, 2024

The use of Rare earth element(s) (REE) in high technology the world is becoming more and important day by day. This importance has caused REEs used to be declared critical raw material lists many countries or country groups, especially European Union (EU), their criticality strategic level have increased. EU dependent on around for REE supplies. Due technology, this dependence will continue decades. Taking into consideration, given great recovery these recent years. However, from mining industrial tailings/wastes not sufficient annual needs countries. At point, abandoned mine deposits, which contain amounts residues, attracts attention using terms supply. In regard, studies that determine grade characteristics feasible methods can recovered tailings contribute reducing supply risk. Thus, new findings able countries, produce technology. study, opportunities residues urban wastes were evaluated. An attempt been made clarify issue waste find an answer question whether supplied without opening a operation. addition, study reviewed literature environmentally responsible management WEEE recycling.

This study focuses on the development of a curated separation system aimed at separating thorium ions as part recovery plan for managing radionuclide in rare earth element (REE) processing industry. As step towards advancing technology readiness, employs electrosorption technique, which involves migration and storage electrical double layers porous surface carbon-based electrode. Using prototype cell operated an applied voltage 1.0 V, successfully achieved ion rate 84.5 ± 0.29 %, with impressive capacity 105.26 mg-Th/1 g-carbon. Notably, despite presence higher concentrations REE competing ions, greater selectivity was observed likely attributable to its larger ionic radius, electron affinity, distribution coefficient. These findings highlight efficacy potential balance between economic significance well protection environment.
