Abstract In the catalytic transformation of bio‐oil into liquid fuels having alkanes via hydrodeoxygenation (HDO), acid and metal sites in catalyst are pivotal for promoting HDO lignin‐derived phenolic compounds. This study introduces a novel bifunctional comprising phosphomolybdenum‐vanadium heteropolyacids (H 4 PMo 11 VO 40 ) coupled with Ni/C. The reaction model compound guaiacol was carried out under conditions 230 °C, revealing superior performance H Ni/C catalysts compared to conventional acids, even at low dosage. Keggin structure provided solid strong acidic redox properties, alongside advantages such as ease synthesis, cost‐effectiveness, tunable properties molecular level. Characterization prepared demonstrated favorable pore mesopore volume 0.281 cm 3 /g an average size 3.404 nm, facilitating uniform distribution activity Ni‐metal. Incorporating enhances sites, fostering synergistic interactions between within catalyst, thereby significantly enhancing performance. Guaiacol conversion °C reached 100 %, cyclohexane selectivity 89.3 %. offers promising avenue upgrading

The performance of nickel and platinum bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) supported on potassium niobate (KNbO3) is evaluated in the catalytic hydrolysis sodium borohydride (NaBH4) to generate hydrogen (H2). KNbO3 was synthesized via a hydrothermal route using Nb2O5 KOH as precursors. X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed crystalline orthorhombic structure KNbO3. Ni/Pt NPs, with an average size 4.66 nm spherical morphology, were uniformly dispersed surface nanosheets. N2 physisorption isotherms NPs classified type V H3 hysteresis, showing specific areas 0.170 2.87 m2 g−1, respectively. Catalytic studies examined various molar ratios, 1:3 ratio (mol/mol) demonstrating highest efficiency. Kinetic analysis NaBH4 showed that data fit pseudo-first-order model. An increase temperature enhanced generation rate (HGR), reaching 2068.3 mL gcat−1 min−1 at 315.05 K. apparent activation energy (Ea) determined be 29.9 kJ mol−1. Durability assays only 11% decrease activity after 11 cycles. Thus, promising, easy-to-synthesize, environmentally friendly catalyst for has been developed.
