Digital technologies hold significant potential for addressing environmental issues, such as air pollution and rising global temperatures. China is focusing on accelerating the dual transformation of industrial greening digitization to accomplish UN’s 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development sustainable economic growth. By combining a two-way fixed effect model, mediated panel threshold this research endeavors explore that expansion digital economy has level carbon emission intensity produced by industry. The yielded following primary conclusions. (1) effectively reduces via three distinct mechanisms: enhancements technological innovative capacities China, improvements in energy efficiency, country’s overall structure. (2) Regions where industrialization are highly integrated developing, well early pilot regions Comprehensive Big Data Pilot Zones, particularly susceptible inhibitory effect. This offers theoretical backing advancements economy; achievement energy-saving carbon-reducing development objectives; establishment green, ecologically friendly, recycling strategies.

This study aims to explore the impact of digital technology innovation on energy efficiency and intensity, further provide new insights for addressing emerging challenges in economics. Focusing panel data 11 provinces cities Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2010 2020, this thoroughly investigates process by which economy influences regional intensity through mechanism technological spillovers, utilizing fixed-effect model, mediated-effect spatial Durbin model. The systematic empirical analysis clearly demonstrates that vigorous development significantly reduces effect remains stable after tests endogeneity robustness. Further reveals green is a crucial pathway intensity. Additionally, positively indirectly lowers neighboring spillovers. However, it noteworthy rapid growth since 2017 has also triggered so-called “energy rebound effect,” led an increase consumption regions some extent. Therefore, achieve sustainable reduction promote coordinated development, essential continuously strengthen centered fully realize its spillover effects. These findings not only scientific basis formulation policies but offer valuable China promoting achieving goals carbon peaking neutrality.

An accurate understanding of the structure spatial correlation networks land use carbon emissions (LUCEs) and balance zoning plays a guiding role in promoting regional emission reductions achieving high-quality coordinated development. In this study, 42 counties Tarim River Basin from 2002 to 2022 were chosen as samples (Corps cities excluded due missing statistics). The LUCE network characteristics analyzed by using Ecological Support Coefficient (ESC), Social Network Analysis (SNA), Spatial Clustering Data (SCDA), targeted optimization strategy was proposed for each zone. results study indicate following: (1) LUCEs showed an overall upward trend, but increase gradually slowed down, presenting characteristic “high mid-north low at edges”. addition, ESC decreasing with opposite that LUCEs. (2) With increasingly close Basin, presented better accessibility stability, individual differed significantly. Aksu City, Korla Bachu County, Shache Hotan Kuqa which center network, displayed remarkable ability control master correlation. (3) Based on analysis, subdivided into six functional zones synergistic reduction strategies zone promote fair efficient low-carbon transformational development among regions.
