This chapter critically examines the adoption challenges of India's digital rupee as a central bank currency, offering insights valuable for global banking sectors. Through mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys, study identifies key barriers to rupee's widespread acceptance, including public trust discrepancies, dominance, socio-economic disparities, technological hurdles. Despite high professed understanding rupee, actual usage rates are low, highlighting significant gap in financial literacy need enhanced educational efforts. The research further reveals gender income disparities awareness, underscoring importance addressing these issues inclusion. Technological readiness, contrary expectations, does not directly correlate with higher rates, pointing necessity comprehensive strategy that goes beyond mere deployment.

Purpose This study, rooted in affordance-actualization theory and communication theory, aims to critically examine how ChatGPT influences users’ transition from new adopters loyal advocates within the context of travel decision-making. It incorporates constructs including quality, personalization, anthropomorphism, cognitive emotional trust (ET), loyalty intention adopt into a comprehensive model. Design/methodology/approach study used quantitative methods analyze data 477 respondents, collected online through self-administered questionnaire by Embrain, leading market research company South Korea. Lavaan package R studio was for evaluating measurement model confirmatory factor analysis using structural equation modeling proposed hypotheses. Findings The findings reveal pivotal need enhancing ChatGPT’s particularly terms accuracy, currency understandability. Personalization emerges as key driver trust, while anthropomorphism significantly impacts ET. Interestingly, unveils that recommendations, predominantly operates at level, impacting subsequent adoption intentions. Practical implications this provide valuable insights improving Generative AI (GenAI) technology management practices recommendations. Central bank-issued digital currencies have sparked significant interest and are currently the subject of extensive research, owing to their potential for rapid settlement, low fees, accessibility, automated monetary policies. However, central bank still in infancy levels adoption vary significantly between nations, with a few countries seeing widespread adoption. We used partial least squares structural equation modeling investigate nonlinear relationship key national development indicators deployment across 67 countries. explore technological, environmental, legal, economic factors that affect currency by country. found statistically positive correlation countries’ status country’s level democracy public confidence governance, negative association regulatory quality income inequality. There was no network readiness, foreign exchange reserves, sustainable goal rank. Thus, we posit country is highly democratic has good governance adopts more readily than others. Based on our findings, suggested areas additional research highlighted policy considerations related wider currency.

Abstract The introduction of the digital renminbi (eCNY) by People's Bank China serves as a means for central bank to effectively comprehend macroeconomic dynamics and enhance payment infrastructure within domestic market. Among pioneering currencies, eCNY is at forefront technological research development, pilot implementation, establishment robust system. Thus, employing unified theory acceptance use technology, this study aims explore factors shaping adoption determine mediating effects intention toward moderating role age gender among various relationships. A cross-sectional survey methodology was deployed collect data from communities situated Yangtze River Delta, Pearl Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei regions. empirical analysis comprised 809 valid online questionnaires, examination conducted through structural equation modeling partial least squares technique, ultimately subjecting conceptual model comprehensive assessment. results indicate that performance expectancy, effort social influence, perceived government policy have significant effects.
