Abstract This paper presents a numerical simulation using ANSYS Fluent to investigate the performance of two water desalination systems under identical conditions. Realistic environmental conditions such as ambient pressure, temperature, fluid inlet velocity, and temperature entering tank heat source (both being water) were considered. Both models tested same conditions: pressure 1 atm, an 27°C, velocity in 0.08 m/s, 0.01 67°C. The made aluminum copper, respectively. obtained results showed significant differences will be discussed detail following sections.
