Copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles have gained significant attention due to their unique properties and wide range of applications. Various methods been developed synthesize CuO (NP), including physical, chemical, biological methods. These find applications in various fields, electronics, energy storage, photocatalysis, medical, materials science. This paper reports a facile quick synthesis CuOnanoparticles for the first time using curcumin as stabilizing agent sodium borohydride reducing agent. Synthesized nanoparticle is characterized UV-visible spectrum measurement X-ray diffraction techniques.Synthesized catalyst was used study photocatalytic degradation very hazardous organic pollutant para-nitrophenol. (PNP)The wascarried out acidic basic medium under dark visible light irradiation. In environment, PNP remains almost insignificant whether presence or absence light. However, an occurs at slow pace when there no light, but process accelerates significantly exposed Density Functional Theory calculation indicates strong interaction between moiety. It that stabilizes will be quite stable long time. Also, it facilitate easy transfer electrons from NP by lowering band gap enhancing catalytic property NP.
