The success of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) depends on solving ‘nexus’ challenge: how can positive interactions between SDGs be optimised, and negative minimised, in order to create co-benefits reduce trade-offs? Due their varying impacts SDGs, economic activities undertaken by organisations present a key lever for operationalising this SDG-nexus. Yet individual economic, social, environmental dimensions sustainable development have not been systematically assessed, thus creating vital operational bottleneck achieving SDGs. This paper conducts systematic review 876 articles published 2005 2019 study nexus activities, general, specific. It finds that studies agricultural, industrial, manufacturing predominantly report development, while literature services highlight social contributions. Overall, most are expected positively impact industrialization, infrastructure, innovation [SDG 9] productivity 8], many help meet basic needs [SDGs 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 11]. However, widespread, afflicting ecosystems 14 15], climate change 13] human health 3]. We synthesise SDG targets discuss implications for: integrated (nexus) governance approaches SDGs; role private sector promoting development; improving statistical classifications monitor activities’ impacts.

There is a rise of interest in various aspects biochar derived from waste biomass to address the most pressing ecosystem challenges. This study contributes understanding biochar's usage remediation hazardous pollutants. The synthesis using variety different techniques has been explored. Numerous analysts have considered as strategy for enhancing their ability remediate Process factors are primarily responsible determining yield. Biochar-derived an exceptionally rich wellspring carbon produced utilizing thermal combustion. Activating another field where increasingly used remove specific contaminants. Closed-loop methods produce expand options. Distributed manufacturing processes efficient method develop businesses, manage waste, and increase resource proficiency environmental applications. Additionally, this research discusses knowledge gaps future directions toxic pollutant through biochar.

Water is an indispensable resource for human activity and the environment. Industrial activities generate vast quantities of wastewater that may be heavily polluted or contain toxic contaminants, posing environmental public health challenges. Different industries with widely varying characteristics, such as quantity generated, concentration, pollutant type. It essential to understand these characteristics select available treatment techniques implementation in facilities promote sustainable water usage. This review article provides overview wastewaters generated by various commonly applied techniques. The advantages, disadvantages physical, chemical, biological methods are presented.
