Biomass plays an essential role in enhancing global energy security and decreasing carbon emissions as a promising renewable option. Comprehensive techno-economic assessments have been carried out to spark industry stakeholders' interest increase their investment biomass-based enterprises. To provide more accurate reliable feasibility estimate, the evaluation must also take into account variety of uncertainties biomass conversion industry. This review aims present overview various types methodologies or techniques used assessment viability processes, highlight that need be taken model. A systematic literature is where four electronic databases viz., Scopus, Web Science, Dimensions, PubMed were identify most recent original research articles peer-reviewed journals. total 346 studies, covering period 2012–2022 screened for relevance study. Seventy-eight records (n=78) which include only met inclusion criteria. The identified several financial factors affect economic performance fast pyrolysis systems. Furthermore, upgrading bio-oil transportation fuels value-added biochemicals can significantly improve plants opposed selling raw bio-oil.

Indonesia leads the world in biodiesel usage, with B35 (a mixture of 35 % and 65 diesel fuel) as its nationwide standard. The success program is primarily influenced by factors such encompassing supply, demand, regulatory frameworks, economic considerations, environmental impact. This comprehensive study delves into Indonesia's program, drawing insights from practical experiences recent research findings. Additionally, it puts recommendations aimed at ensuring long-term sustainability program. economical feasibility mixed fuel (Bxx) depends on scheme formula for determining Biodiesel Market Index Price Indonesia. Exploiting emission advantage within "polluter pays" principle could potentially position a compelling alternative to conventional fuel. discussion focuses establishment carbon tax internalization external cost using part energy policy. In summary, this review provides reference other countries that are either initial stage starting or considering implementation utilization their identifies existing gaps further development sustainable fuels.

The excessive discharge and accumulation of solid organic waste into the environment is severe concern across globe. Thus, an efficient management system important to mitigate health risks humans, minimize harmful impacts on environment, ensure a sustainable ecosystem. converted value-added products either using microorganisms or heat energy; these methods are commonly known as biochemical thermochemical techniques. process has advantage higher selectivity lower processing temperatures. principal conversion processes this category fermentation anaerobic digestion (AD). This review article focuses AD, potential method for treating creating variety with added value. Here we present digestibility various wastes, role microorganisms, decomposition process, co-substrates, digester designs, biogas yields, by-products, environmental impacts, overall techno-economical effectiveness process. Further, offers insights new directions AD treatment future research without compromising feasibility sustainability.
