Supercapacitors have garnered significant attention in recent years owing to their exceptional attributes, such as high power density, prolonged cycle stability, and the capacity fulfil gap between traditional capacitor lithium-ion battery. Nanostructures with different dimensions (zero-dimensional, 0D; one-dimensional, 1D; two-dimensional, 2D; three-dimensional, 3D) were employed electrodes. Such material's architecture at nanoscale has resulted outstanding electrochemical characteristics, contributing development of high-performance Supercapacitors. Recent advances design nanostructured electrode materials for highlighted new insight into structure property relationship is provided this authoritative review. Unique classification based on dimensionality, namely, 0D, 1D, 2D 3D was emphasis performance, specific capacitance, energy density cyclability. The impact nanostructures key Supercapacitor properties that include charge transfer kinetics, diffusion, rate capability, well life also highlighted.
