The Advanced Geosynchronous Radiation Imager (AGRI) is a mission-critical instrument for the Fengyun series of satellites. AGRI acquires full-disk images every 15 min and views East Asia 5 through 14 spectral bands, enabling detection highly variable aerosol optical depth (AOD). Quantitative retrieval AOD has hitherto been challenging, especially over land. In this study, an algorithm proposed that combines deep learning transfer learning. uses core concepts from both Dark Target (DT) Deep Blue (DB) algorithms to select features machine-learning (ML) algorithm, allowing at 550 nm dark bright surfaces. consists two steps: ①A baseline neural network (DNN) with skip connections developed using 10 Himawari AODs as target variable, ②Sunphotometer 89 ground-based stations are used fine-tune DNN parameters. Out-of-station validation shows retrieved attains high accuracy, characterized by coefficient determination (R2) 0.70, mean bias error (MBE) 0.03, percentage data within expected (EE) 70.7%. A sensitivity study reveals top-of-atmosphere reflectance 650 470 nm, well surface largest sources uncertainty impacting retrieval. case monitoring extreme event, found be able capture detailed temporal evolution event. This work demonstrates superiority transfer-learning technique in satellite retrievals applicability pollution events.
