In emergencies, ensuring rapid access to temporary housing for displaced individuals is a cornerstone of effective disaster response. Managing the issue time-effectively crucial addressing immediate physical needs population and fostering sense stability. Unfortunately, given vast scale emergency camps, number shelters be installed often very high, requiring transport assembly success settlement procedures. Furthermore, emergencies frequently occur in environments with extreme outdoor climates, heightening challenge maintaining indoor comfort within shelters. The present study considers modular shelter based on composite sandwich panels made glass-fibre reinforced polymer (GFRP) filled polyurethane (PUR) foam thermal insulation core. Experimental tests numerical analyses are used quantify conductivity heat losses through panels' connections, respectively. Dynamic energy simulations implemented accounting aforementioned data required ensure users' via active heating cooling systems. Further, model applied evaluate influence envelope finishes shading devices reducing shelter's demands three climates. Results indicate that combination reflective can lead significant demand reductions, decreasing need and, therefore, overall weight shelter. Finally, it observed climates where dominant, passive strategies achieve savings alone cannot attain.

Sandwich composite elements are used in many sectors thanks to their low weight/strength ratios, high bending strength, good thermal insulation properties, and costs. It is widely the machinery construction industry, especially land, sea, air vehicles. The main objective of this research design produce lightweight, durable, insulated, low-cost, sustainable building that will meet emergency shelter needs after disasters. For housing purposes, 24 sandwich beams were prepared, eight designs with different surface coatings core materials, three each group. effects coating material on behavior investigated four-point experiments. Load-displacement relationships determined from experiments, beams' load-carrying capacities failure patterns under shearing determined. In addition, theoretical methods maximum load values compared them results As a result it was concluded best-performing plywood XPS core.
