Energy communities (ECs) have emerged across the EU, with Clean Package providing legal foundation for establishment of energy communities. The actual transposition is up to member states, leading heterogeneous regulatory approaches. national frameworks often provide financial support mechanisms like local grid tariffs, along limitations on size and membership, which significantly influence business case ECs. This paper analyzes economic feasibility ECs under different in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Austria. Two scenarios were evaluated by means a study, consisting households two public entities. first scenario compares incentives uniform conditions, while second considers country-specific factors PV irradiation electricity costs. Results show that can only partially decouple prices from market dynamics. study concludes lead adequate savings members most countries; however, level incentive does not necessarily relate number established Electricity benefits could be created promoting demand response measures EC.
