Abstract
In
water
chlorination
for
removing
pathogens,
trihalomethanes
(THMs)
become
among
the
significant
carcinogenic
by-products
of
drinking
chlorination.
The
conventional
measurement
means
these
compounds
is
a
GC
device
with
an
ECD
detector
(GC-ECD)
or
GC/MS.
A
GC-ECD
GC/MS
utilized
analyzing
at
microgram
per
liter
scale.
Due
to
international
sanctions,
purchasing
not
easy
cost-effective.
This
article
introduces
new
concentration
method
using
Head
Space
technique
in
GC-FID
measuring
trihalomethanes.
this
method,
four
compounds,
chloroform
(CHCl3),
di-bromochloromethane
(CHClBr2),
bromodichloromethane
(CHCl2Br)
and
bromoform
(CHBr3),
are
plotted
on
5-point
calibration
chart
after
being
measured
designed
laboratory,
can
be
used
measure
concentrations
analyze
data
laboratories
wastewater,
environment,
petroleum
petrochemistry,
etc.
High
accuracy
(µg/L)
main

method.
