Several studies have indicated a potential association between obesity, depression, and sleep disorders. However, the role of depression in mediating relationship obesity disorders remains unclear. The Body Roundness Index (BRI), more precise anthropometric measure than traditional body mass index (BMI), is particularly effective assessing visceral fat levels. This study examines BRI disorders, with focus on whether influences this association. included data from 32,504 participants National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2005–2018 cycle. was examined through subgroup analysis, restricted cubic spline (RCS) modeling, threshold effect multivariable logistic regression. Furthermore, predictive capabilities various indices—including BRI, weight-adjusted waist (WWI), BMI, weight—on disorder incidence were assessed using Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. ABSTRACT Objective Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is a common heterogeneous sleep disorder that significantly impacts the quality of individuals and leads to severe complications. Patients with OSA often experience disrupted circadian rhythm, hyperactive hypoxia response, endothelial dysfunction, yet underlying molecular mechanism remains poorly known. Recent research suggests promising evidence potential role SIRT1 in etiology OSA, warranting further investigation. Methods We investigated associations promoter variant (rs7895833A > G) severity 199 who underwent an overnight polysomnography at clinic. Results The minor allele frequency was observed as 0.309 males ( n = 149) 0.310 females 50). No significant were between genotypes apnea‐hypopnea index (AHI) entire sample. However, we association p 0.034) rs7895833‐G stratified by AHI. Additionally, found statistically inverse correlations age protein levels total sample 0.013) male group 0.018), suggesting age‐related expression SIRT1. Our analysis also confirmed published literature, showing AHI clinical parameters such age, BMI, Epworth sleepiness scale, neck circumference. Conclusions Overall, may indirectly affect pathogenesis, which might be influenced gender. Further detailed involving large population‐based biobanks, especially focusing on gender‐based differences, will improve our understanding management.

Abstract Circadian rhythm plays a critical role in regulating various physiological processes, and disruptions these rhythms have been linked to wide range of diseases. Identifying molecular biomarkers showing differential circadian (DC) patterns between biological conditions or disease status is important for prevention, diagnosis, treatment. However, pattern characterized by three key components: amplitude, phase, MESOR, which poses great challenge DC analysis. Existing statistical methods focus on detecting shape (amplitude phase) but often overlook MESOR difference. Additionally, lack flexibility incorporate external knowledge such as information from similar clinical context improve the current To address limitation, we introduce novel Bayesian hierarchical model, BayesDCirc, designed two-group experimental design, offer advantage testing difference incorporating knowledge. Benefiting explicitly within modeling framework, BayesDCirc demonstrates superior FDR control over existing methods, with further performance improvement leveraging genes. Applied two real datasets, successfully identify genes, particularly incorporated. The R package “BayesDCirc” method publicly available GitHub at https://github.com/lichen-lab/BayesDCirc.

Objective The pathophysiological mechanisms influencing psychosis spectrum disorders are largely unknown. glymphatic system, which is a brain waste clearance pathway, has recently been implicated in its pathophysiology and also shown to be disrupted various neurodegenerative vascular diseases. Initial studies examining the system have reported disruptions, but findings confounded by medication effects as they included antipsychotic-treated patients. In this study, we used diffusion tensor imaging analysis along perivascular space (DTI-ALPS) technique measure functionality of sample antipsychotic-minimally exposed patients with healthy controls. Methods study 13 (2 weeks antipsychotic exposure past 3 months/lifetime) 114 We quantified water metrics x-, y-, z-axes both projection association fibres derive DTI-ALPS index, proxy for activity. Between-group differences were analyzed using two-way ANCOVA controlling age sex. Partial correlations assess between ALPS index clinical variables. Results Analyses revealed that disorder had lower value than controls hemispheres whole (all P < 0.005). Significant observed x y projections/associations ( 0.001). Furthermore, did not find any significant > 0.05) age, body mass symptomatology, metabolic parameters. Conclusion This shows dysregulated disorders. Understanding influence may help understand proper needed normal functioning.
