Water stress poses a significant challenge for plant growth and productivity, impacting both yield quality. With the ongoing changes in global climate, mitigating adverse effects of water deficiency on plants has become crucial. In this study, focus is enhancing tolerance Ocimum basilicum L., highly susceptible to stress. To achieve this, study examined zinc fertilizer supplementation at varying rates (2.5 - 5 10 mg/kg) O. grown silty sandy soil subjected conditions. Several parameters, including mineral uptake, morphological characteristics, total phenol flavonoid contents, essential oil compounds, were evaluated sweet basil. The results revealed that had detrimental impact properties secondary metabolites analysed. Estragole emerged as main compound analysis, with highest concentration (69.37%) observed group treated mg/kg fertilizer. Conversely, lowest (66.14%) was recorded water-stressed without Notably, application concentrations significantly ameliorated negative induced by Furthermore, exhibited diverse mechanisms action concerning uptake other nutrients from soil.
