Recognition of sustainability issues around water resource consumption is gaining traction under global warming and land utilization complexities. These concerns increase the challenge an appropriate comprehension anthropogenic activities natural processes, as well how they influence quality surface groundwater systems. The characteristics resources cause difficulties in comprehensive assessment regarding source types, pathways, pollutants behaviors. As behavior prediction widely known contaminants remain challenging, some new have developed heavy metal pollutants. main aim this review to focus on certain essential pollutants’ discharge from categorized based land-use sectors such industrial applications (solid/liquid wastes, chemical compounds, mining activities, spills, leaks), urban development (municipal use practices, others), agricultural practices (pesticides fertilizers). Further, important released processes classified climate change, disasters, geological factors, soil/matrix, hyporheic exchange aquatic environment, are also discussed. Moreover, study addresses major inorganic substances (nitrogen, fluoride, metals concentrations). This emphasizes necessity transdisciplinary research cross-border communication achieve sustainable using sound science, adaptable legislation, management

Abstract The use of pesticides has notably increased in recent years globally. However, sensitive organisms exposed to these environmental pollutants, such as amphibians, may experience adverse effects. insecticide imidacloprid (IM) and the herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) are two commonly used Colombia, but their toxic impacts on tropical anurans remain poorly understood. In this study, we tested acute effects IM 2,4-D survival, total length, burst swimming speed tadpoles from anuran species. Under laboratory conditions, Boana platanera Engystomops pustulosus were independently each pesticide for 96 h. We found that E. more both than those B. . LC 50 values higher reported field concentrations pesticides. led a reduction length induced immobility surviving individuals contrast, did not affect or conclusion, based results concentrations, lethal studied anurans. Nevertheless, it is important consider caused strong negative sublethal tadpoles, which could compromise survival future. Finally, also showed greater toxicity species 2,4-D.

The intensified agricultural crop production for growing high yield varieties requires the indiscriminate use of pesticides and fertilizers, which protect from pests, thus helps in improving quality quantity crops. aquatic environment gets contaminated by application through several routes: runoff, spray drift, leaching, pose serious health risks to ecosystem as well human beings. This exposure can directly affect all levels biological organization, including primary producers, microorganisms, invertebrates, or fish. Thus, monitoring methods should be adopted controlling runoff events spraying method, such suspended matter sampler particle-associated that used number toxic substances water bodies.

Carbendazim (CBZ), which is a fungicide widely used for the management of plant diseases, has been detected in number food products. The negative effects CBZ to human health have stimulated reduction maximum residue limits (MRLs), and subsequently development reliable sensitive detection methods. Here, we are reviewing first time all reported chromatographic methods quantification food. Several techniques, including liquid chromatography (LC), thin layer (TLC), micellar electrokinetic (MEKC), supercritical fluid (SFC), were separation CBZ, showing diverse characteristics sensitivity. Some allowed specific determination whereas other successfully applied simultaneous huge pesticides. Most showed (LOD) (LOQ) lower than MRLs.
