Urbanization is the development trend of all countries in world, but it has caused considerable ecological problems that need to be alleviated by building security patterns. This study took Ningbo as an example construct and optimize pattern. We analyzed land use types, normalized difference vegetation index, landscape connectivity for sources selection. In constructing resistance surface, we considered natural socio-economic factors. On this basis, identified corridors based on a minimum cumulative model. Finally, pattern was optimized through space syntax. Results showed 18 sources, with area 3051.27 km2 29 corridors, length 1172.18 km. Among them, 11 are first-level, 10 second-level, 8 third-level corridors. After optimization, protection cost were significantly reduced, which can effectively alleviate trade-off between economic development. research provide reference construction optimization patterns significance rapidly urbanized areas.

Abstract Context Designing and optimizing ecological security pattern (ESP) is an effective solution to formulate landscape planning. The commonly used network analysis for ESP optimization abstracts sources corridors as homogeneous nodes edges, ignoring the differentiated patch stability. Objectives It aimed construct considering function, explore relationship of stability connectivity conservation objectives, optimize with integration two objectives. Methods We proposed a framework constructing based on ecosystem health human footprint, robustness analysis. Land use conflict node/ edge removal method were further assess connectivity, respectively. Results Ningxia was composed 71 covering area 10970.25 km 2 , 150 3950.88 . along Yellow River had high but low while largest source both values indicators. With robustness, global efficiency, equivalent decreased from 1, 0.29, 342.80 0, variation trends three indicators under different scenarios inconsistent. There distinct trade-off between objectives connectivity. Conclusions This study highlighted how balance in Our can provide guidance planners without losing information due element abstraction

Rapid and disordered urbanization has created a fragmented landscape, the urban–rural fringe (URF), which led to degradation of ecological connections between urban areas rural hinterlands. The security network (ESN) offers significant advantages for restoring interrupted processes. However, classic ESN construction approaches are ineffective in URF when applied highly complex landscape. In this paper, new approach stepwise is proposed, integrates basic connecting create an optimized ESN. Taking Xiamen as case study, elements were extracted reclassified construction. scarcity transitional patches complexity land cover responsible lack corridors. final consisted 19 source nodes with 7 structural corridors, 22 8 Moreover, performance spatial coverage both significantly improved after optimization. optimal buffer widths structural, connecting, corridors 600 m, 180 120 respectively. This paper provides operational framework adapted well management guidance policymakers. It can support decisions regulating growth outlining protection areas, thus contributing sustainable development.

In the context of accelerating ecological fragmentation, it is urgent to enhance interconnectivity urban patches form a resilient network (EN). The construction Natural Protected Area (NPA) system proposed in 2019 latest strategy implemented by China protecting spaces. However, effectiveness this has not been adequately demonstrated. This study specifically analyzes concrete impacts natural protected area on resilience networks (ENs). economically developed Urban Agglomeration around Hangzhou Bay (UAHB) was chosen as an example for argumentation. Firstly, we utilized circuit theory construct EN consisting 173 sources and 401 corridors. Secondly, were categorized into three levels based their connectivity values. Finally, dynamic disturbance scenario simulation framework constructed evaluate impact NPA EN. results indicated that: (1) preceding 47% are crucial maintaining EN; (2) Compared with other spaces, NPAs have 38% 1100% greater effect first second-level sources, respectively, while its third-level 118% lower. innovatively investigates differential hierarchical areas unprotected environment.
