Environmental estrogens (EEs) have received a lot of attention in recent years due to their harmful effects and long latency period. Microalgae been used for the removal EEs because high efficiency, recyclability energy, low ecological side effects. In laboratory studies, efficiency by microalgae was mostly above 80%, degradation period about one week, which very good performance. This paper summarizes mechanism pathway accordingly proposes model removal: load - separation transfer reload. However, apply environments such as wastewater treatment plants, it is necessary select species with levels antioxidant enzymes withstand toxic concentrations also consider effect bacteria on process. Under normal conditions, can compete scarce resources water body, addition giving each other nutrients they need. presence EEs, intermediate products produced degrade be microalgae, final small molecule organic acids will inhibit but taken up thus accelerating process accumulation enhancing rate. The synergistic antagonistic together maintain stability microalgae-bacterial system. study equilibrium state system great value establishing practical applications.

17α-ethinylestradiol (17α-EE2) is frequently detected in water bodies due to its use being widespread the treatment of prostate and breast cancer control alopecia, posing a threat humans aquatic organisms. However, studies on toxicity Chlorella pyrenoidosa have been limited date. This study investigated effects 17α-EE2 growth, photosynthetic activity, antioxidant system C. revealed related molecular changes using transcriptomic analysis. The cell density algae was inhibited presence 17α-EE2, morphology also altered. Photosynthetics were damaged, while reactive oxygen species (ROS), superoxide dismutase (SOD), malondialdehyde (MDA) content increased. Further analysis that pathways photosynthesis DNA replication affected at three concentrations but several specific exhibited various behaviors different concentrations. Significant differentially expressed genes their enrichment showed low-concentration group predominantly impaired photosynthesis, higher-concentration groups biased towards oxidative damage. provides better understanding cellular variations microalgae under exposure, contributing environmental risk assessment such hazardous pollutants

Environmental context oestrogens are a type of endocrine disruptor; their variety, wide range sources and long-term accumulation in the environment seriously harm ecology human health. The specific identification, adsorption detection environmental environment, food drugs is great significance. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have high stability under harsh chemical physical conditions involve simple preparation low cost, which leads to potential for practical applications. We summarise discuss recent research advances future developments MIP-based monitoring technologies oestrogens. Abstract growing persistence oestrogenic pollutants worrying concern because disrupting activities potentially hazardous consequences on matrices, organisms, turn reach humans through chain pathway. Chronic exposure causes several serious health problems, such as infertility breast cancer, affects development children’s reproductive system, illustrates importance removing from environment. use molecularly that purpose has acquired lot traction years. MIPs artificial antibodies with selective recognition cavities specifically targeted substances. They created using variety polymerisation methods employed various pretreatment techniques numerous types sensors be used In this review, we introduce different production analytical strategies analysis MIPs, HPLC, electrochemical optical sensors. A covalent organic framework (COF) based on imine was synthesized using 2,5-dihexoxyterephthalaldehyde (DHT) and 1,3,5-tris(4-aminophenyl) benzene (TAPB) as starting materials. The TAPB-DHT-COF exhibited satisfactory chemical stability, making it a promising adsorbing material for stir bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) of four estrogens, including estrone (E1), β-estradiol (E2), hexestrol (HES), mestranol (MeEE2), in ambient water samples. extracted analytes were subsequently analyzed high-performance liquid chromatography-diode array detector (HPLC-DAD). series parameters affecting the SBSE process, such solution pH, ionic strength, time, desorption solvent, investigated by controlled variable method.
