The disposal of plastic waste has become a great challenge for the current generation due to large-scale production and non-degradable properties plastics. Additionally, fatigue rutting are most common problems that bituminous pavements face. Thus, incorporation into road been studied as possible solution help mitigate related possibly improve performance pavements. This paper presents systematic review literature regarding asphalt mixtures its impact on performance. main objective is evaluate effect adding by analyzing results commonly performed laboratory tests reported in dataset, systematically selected following PRISMA 2020 methodology reviews. Although deeper research considering short- long-term ageing still necessary, generally improves resistance mixtures. However, behaviour not clear yet. Finally, it can be said potential incorporated environmental problem disposal.

Single-use isolation gowns have become an important practice across medical centres, testing sites, and emergency rooms since the onset of Coronavirus pandemic; within later months 2019. Although reusable proved beneficial, 80% frontline centres opt for disposable gowns, increasing demand plastic-based personal protective equipment (PPE) environmental strain from excess waste in landfills. This research aims to explore practicability using structural concrete scale back quantity pandemic-generated ending up The shredded were added aggregates at 0.01%, 0.02%, 0.03% volume concrete. effects various concentrations on mechanical properties investigated through a series experiments alongside SEM-EDS analysis. Results demonstrate enhanced bridging effect between cement matrix allowing steady trend improved with increases 15.5%, 20.6%, 11.73% compressive strength, flexural modulus elasticity, respectively.

ABSTRACT The waste issue from the widespread use of nitrile gloves emphasize environmental and health risks associated with improper disposal. This study introduces an innovative approach by incorporating recycled made acrylonitrile butadiene (rNBR) into a composite poly(lactic acid) (PLA) graphene nanoplatelets (GNPs) (1, 2, 3 phr). results showed maximum improvement in mechanical properties at PLA/rNBR blend ratio 60:40 wt%, demonstrating balance between stiffness toughness compared to other binary ratios. incorporation GNP enhanced values Young's modulus, tensile strength, elongation, respectively. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) recorded that thermal stability tends increase loaded GNP. morphological observed through electron microscopy (SEM) revealed surface exhibited nonhomogeneous distribution, leading formation numerous voids low adhesion. However, good distribution within matrix contributed greater homogeneity, thereby reducing defects caused rubber crumbs fracture. Based on this research, strategy offers promising solution address challenges posed personal protective equipment waste.

Cellulose acetate fiber (CAF), a typical waste product derived from cigarette filters, has attracted growing attention for its potential reuse in asphalt materials. However, application porous (PA) mixtures remains underexplored. This study investigates the effects of CAF on performance binders and PA-13 through series laboratory tests. The results demonstrate that significantly enhances high-temperature rheological binders. A 1% content improved low-temperature binder, while higher resulted degradation. fatigue life analysis revealed parabolic relationship with optimal Nf50 observed at CAF-a 4.3% increase over original binder. Compared to 3% lignin (LF)-modified binders, CAF-modified exhibited reduced temperature sensitivity performance, least 4.6% improvement an 8.4% life. As mixtures, incorporation progressively rutting, moisture stripping resistance increasing content, achieving highest dynamic stability, tensile strength ratio lowest mass loss rate 5% CAF. (S = 0.45) trend, peaking Moreover, mixture demonstrated resistance, exhibiting slight decrease water disintegration. Overall, is viable alternative LF improving durability service pavements.
