As an excellent fluorescent nanomaterial, carbon quantum dots (CQDs) have the properties of small molecular weight, particle size, high fluorescence stability, no optical flicker, wide excitation spectrum, continuous, long adjustable emission wavelength, good biocompatibility and low toxicity. At present, it has been widely used in biological detection, vivo vitro imaging, drug delivery diagnostic drugs. This review presents a broad overview recent progress synthesis, properties, biomedical applications CQDs. The synthesis methods CQDs are first introduced, followed by extensive discussion its purification, surface functionalization stability. Furthermore, presented, with emphasis on photoluminescence mechanism relationship between conditions properties. review's much focus is given to CQDs, including imaging (in imaging) (targeted therapy, photodynamic photothermal immunological gene therapy). Finally, we cover key issues future prospects/advances that still deal sector as well possible solutions.

Abstract Pesticides in environmental samples pose significant risks to ecosystems and human health since they require precise efficient detection methods. Imidacloprid (IMI), a widely used neonicotinoid insecticide, exemplifies these hazards due its potential toxicity. This study addresses the urgent need for improved monitoring of such contaminants by introducing novel fluorometric method detecting IMI using nitrogen‐doped graphite carbon dots (N‐GCDs). The sensor operates quenching fluorescence through interaction Cu 2+ ions with N‐GCDs. Subsequently, binds imidazole group, chelates , restores alternating behavior allows accurate identification both IMI. exhibits linear ranges 20–100 nM 10–140 μg/L IMI, limits 18 1.2 μg/L, respectively. high sensitivity this enables real‐world samples, which underscores practical use agricultural safety.
