The spread of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and subsequent soil-borne disease outbreaks are major threats to soil health sustainable crop production. However, the relationship between occurrences diseases transmission ARGs remains unclear. Here, ARGs, mobile genetic elements microbial communities from co-located suppressive conducive banana orchards were deciphered using metagenomics metatranscriptomics approaches. In total, 23 ARG types, with 399 subtypes, detected a approach, whereas 452 discovered method. Furthermore, analysis revealed that total abundance levels greater in rhizospheres (0.45 ARGs/16S rRNA on average) compared bulk (0.32 soils. The distribution of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) derived from compost in soil–plant systems is a serious issue. One possible remedy the application biochar-containing compost.
