The
contamination
of
aquatic
environments

metals

Balancing
human
needs
with
nature’s
contributions
is
essential
for
sustainable
development.
The
contribution
to
people
(NCPs)
framework
helps
identify
ecosystem
benefits;
however,
few
studies
have
applied
it
conservation
priorities
on
the
Qinghai–Tibet
Plateau.
Here,
we
first
proposed
an
assessment
method
supply
and
demand
of
critical
NCPs,
including
habitat
maintenance
(NCP1),
climate
regulation
(NCP4),
water
quantity
(NCP6),
assessed
NCPs
from
2000
2020.
Then,
evaluated
importance
vulnerability
based
NCP
scores
multiple
stressors,
which
refer
current
future
socioeconomic
climatic
factors
inter-annual
variability.
Finally,
identified
ecological
priority
areas
by
comprehensively
considering
vulnerability.
results
revealed
that
following:
(1)
three
across
QTP
showed
similar
spatial
distributions,
higher
values
in
southeast
lower
northwest,
whereas
NCP4
NCP6
increasing
trends
over
time;
(2)
was
eastern
western
parts
QTP,
while
greater
central
northwest
areas,
NCP1
recording
much
(0.94
0.90,
respectively)
compared
(0.14);
(3)
were
primarily
(13.68%),
covering
Yangtze
Lancang
basins,
key
focused
southwest,
underscoring
a
significant
emphasis
region
both
perspectives.
These
insights
into
NCPs’
support
regional
coordination
management
enhance
well-being.
