Antibiotics, as pollutants of emerging concern, can enter marine environments, rivers, and lakes endanger ecology human health. The purpose this study was to review the studies conducted on presence antibiotics in water, sediments, organisms aquatic environments (i.e., seas, lakes). Most reviewed were 2018 (15%) 2014 (11%). Antibiotics reported aqueous media at a concentration <1 ng/L−100 μg/L. results showed that highest number works Asian continent (seas: 74%, rivers: 78%, lakes: 87%, living organisms: 100%). water sea with frequency 49%, related fluoroquinolones. According results, amounts sediment 460 ng/L 406 ng/g, respectively. In sulfonamides had abundance (30%). Fluoroquinolones (with an 34%) lakes. Moreover, fluoroquinolones 68,000 39%. obtained it be concluded are among most dangerous due their high concentrations environment. This provides timely information regarding different which helpful for estimating ecological risks, contamination levels, management.

Abstract Previous studies reported microplastics (MPs), antibiotics, and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs). There is still a lack of research progress on the origin, fate, impact hazards MPs ARGs WWTPs. This paper fills gap this regard. In our search, we used “microplastics”, “antibiotic genes”, “wastewater plant” as topic terms Web Science, checking returned results for relevance by examining titles abstracts. study mainly explores following points: (1) origins fate MPs, antibiotics WWTPs; (2) mechanisms action sludge biochemical pools; (3) impacts WWTPs spread ARGs; (4) harm inflicted environment human body. Contaminants sewage such ARGs, antibiotic-resistant bacteria enter soil water. can travel through food chain thus reach humans, leading to increased illness, hospitalization, even mortality. will enhance understanding among they inflict

Abstract Land system intensification has substantially enhanced crop production; however, it also created soil antibiotic pollution, undermining production. Here, we projected pollution risks to production at multiple geographical scales in China and linked them land (including arable expansion input increase). Our projections suggest that will decrease when the risk quotient exceeds 8.30–9.98. systems explain most of variability (21–66%) across spatial scales. The convex nonlinearities tradeoffs between indicate vegetable wheat have higher thresholds which risk–yield peak than do maize rice study suggests below minimum is required for acceptable related yield reduction.
