Emerging valorization routes are urgently needed for managing the huge amount swine manure (SM) from large-scale piggery in China. Although diverse benefits production and application of biochar has been well-recognized, there is still a knowledge gap regarding economic feasibility SM production, which hinders practical implementation Herein, was simulated via Aspen Plus, techno-economical model applied to calculate net present value (NPV), internal rate return (IRR), discounted payback period (DPP) with processing capacity 8000 tons per year. Results suggest that selling price operating costs have significant impacts on project. When below 840 yuan/ton, NPV becomes negative, rendering project unprofitable. However, when increase by 20%, results indicate remains profitable. decreases 1120 IRR only 14%, demonstrating this not suitable investment. The DPP analyses show investment 4.6 years, profitability fifth year, proving its high resilience risk. Moreover, compared conventional treatment routes, into China shorter period, worthiness

Piggery wastewater generation has become an environmental problem which must be solved by managing the residue through appropriate treatment. One promising technology is use of photobioreactors where microalgae and bacteria act symbiotically to remove nutrients, allows reduce costs in treatment production using as culture media. In this process, a valuable biomass generated that can used produce several components bioproducts. However, most algal such proteins carbohydrates are found within cell wall should disrupted extract them trying cause low degradation solubilized considering presence pollutants. So, thesis focusses on valorization grown piggery different technologies.Likewise, economic viability some proposed processes was studied.Techno-economic analysis show agricultural products sustainably produced from wastewater. The method harvesting resulted critical point obtaining 4.5 times more concentrated biostimulant with centrifugation than membranes. However, centrifuges led great expense due high cost equipment its electricity requirements, resulting final 343 €/m 3 vs 66 membranes.Comparing 1ha crop, centrifuge or membrane lower commercial product (22.1% 48.1% respectively). The membranes for allowed construction economically viable plants capable operating at capacity distributing biostimulants over greater distances centrifuges.A life cycle assessment showed 30% impact (global warming (GW) 217 kg CO2 eq/ha) instead centrifugation. The amount required crops when used, also relevant transportation, being favourable distance 321 km.As alternative, extraction biopesticides before evaluated. The calculated were 0.35 €/L 2.12€/L centrifuge, but higher inversion complex process producing only biostimulants.

Published: Oct. 24, 2023

With the rapid development of livestock and poultry breeding, number scale breeding are increasing, providing a lot meat, eggs, milk other products, but also producing large manure pollution. Livestock is rich in organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium nutritional components, through processing can eliminate toxic harmful substances, into fertilizers. However, many on-site environment treatment poor, which not conducive to health operators. Therefore, this paper develops an integrated intelligent control system realize remote automatic improve capacity.
