We first revealed the behavior and biochemical mechanism of high iron attapulgite (HIAP) different dosages affecting sewage sludge (SS) composting. HS/TOC ratio increased, but HA/TOC HA/FA ratios reduced with increase in HIAP dose. High-dose promoted formation more HS by weak catalytic effect could bind FA than HA strong adsorption to inhibit polymerization adsorbed into HA. Mixing SS subsequent composting as two consecutive processes during HIAP-amended significantly influenced species distribution heavy metals (HMs) Cu, Zn, Cr. Each process roughly contributed one-half HMs passivation. The bioavailable fraction (BF) dose greatly affected microbial community. Both 1% 5% treatments Proteobacteria Firmicutes, 10% Actinobacteriota Bacteroidota. At thermophilic phase, core genera, which were correlated pile temperature pH value. In maturity stage, genera basically similar closely HA, influence order was BF–Cr > BF–Cu BF–Zn optimal recommended.

The improper treatment of crop straw not only leads to resource wastage but also adversely impacts the ecological environment. However, application microorganisms can accelerate decomposition and improve its utilization. In this study, cellulose-degrading microbial strains were isolated from naturally decayed corn screened using Congo red staining, along with assessing variations in carboxymethyl cellulase (CMCase) activity, filter paper enzyme (FPase) activity β-glucosidase (β-Gase) as well degradation rate. eight strains, namely Neurospora intermedia isolate 29 (A1), Streptomyces FFJC33 (A2), Gibberella moniliformis FKCB-009 (A3), Fusarium fujikuroi EFS3(2) (A4), Fujikuroi FZ04 (A5), Lysine bacillus macroides strain LNHL43 (B1), Bacillus subtilis MPF30 (B2) Paenibacilli lautus ALEB-P1 (C), identified selected for consortium design based on their high activities CMCase, FPase β-Gase. fungi, bacteria actinomycete combined without antagonistic effects decomposition. results showed A2B2 combination had a significantly higher at 55.44 U/mL β-Gase 25.73 than other two combinations (p < 0.05). The dissolved black carbon (DBC) derived from co-pyrolysis of plastic and biomass be released into aquatic environment. DBC was an important photoactive constituent, however, the photochemical activity remains unclear. Herein three popular wastes (polystyrene, PS; polylactic acid, PLA; mulch film, PMF) pine needle prepared biochar, effects plastics on DBC's photogeneration ability reactive intermediates, affecting pollutant photodegradation, were investigated. In comparison to individual DBC, mixed biochar had a lower molecular weight more oxygen-containing groups. Quantum yields singlet oxygen (1O2) triplet state (3DBC⁎) higher, especially PMF-DBC since its aromaticity connected with higher E2/E3 SUVA254 values. Steady-state experiment demonstrated 3DBC⁎ formation rates for than while second-order reaction rate constants 2,4,6-trimethylphenol that DBC.
