Botanical pesticides have been shown to be an appropriate technology for crop protection as they present a high level of safety ecosystems and biodiversity. However, most botanical defects slow action, short persistence, instability during pest control, which restrict their further development application. Currently, nanodelivery systems displayed great promise solve these deficiencies. Herein, we used mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) nanocarriers loaded with pesticide matrine coated chitosan prepare (MaNPs) controlling Nilaparvata lugens (Stål) on rice (Oryza sativa L.). The results showed that MaNPs possessed excellent stability biosafety nontarget organism tadpoles. Foliar-sprayed 25 mg/L decreased the populations adult nymph N. particularly resulted in 55.1% decrease population 74.8% increase shoot biomass, compared infected control. Moreover, exhibited superior control performance reproduction than conventional pesticides, was due induced higher levels chemical defense-related compounds plants. Altogether, chitosan-functionalized could effective eco-friendly nanocarrier loading nanopesticides sustainable chemistry promote green applications management.
