Pharmaceutical personal care products (PPCPs) have increased in consumption due to the worldwide post-pandemic situation, marking them as chemical and pathogenic pollutants significantly higher concentrations than ever ecosystem. Considering inexplicable levels of these residues discharged into environment, concerns been raised regarding their probable ecotoxicity marine terrestrial life. A further concern is potential for developing spreading antibiotic-resistant microorganisms genes aquatic ecosystems antibiotic exposure. Hence, knowing how compounds impact ecosystem functioning imperative, thus a critical area research. The ecological risk analysis PPCPs has carried out using various strategies. Previous studies reported numerous approaches eliminating PPCPs, including conventional treatment methods, activated sludge processes, generated wetlands, biological remediation, sequencing batch reactors, phytoremediation, membrane bioreactors. In terms green biotechnology approaches, current research aims discover effective procedures removing emerging resources pollutants. Therefore, this review focuses on over-extensive utilization emergent sources responsible contamination environmental threat future wastewater purposes. Further, fungi enzymes derivatives can remove pharmaceuticals from through oxidation several they attracted attention scientific community ability status wastewater. This examines fundamental approach progress bioremediation pharmaceutical- personal-care-contaminated fungal-based systems. It also discusses mechanistic hybridizing cultures other systems with fungal strains, technologies, prospects treatment.

Achieving renewable clean energy to meet increasing global demand and counter overreliance on depleting unsustainable sources has recently drawn significant research interest. Similarly, attain the sustainable development goals (SDGs) "zero hunger" agenda, massive agricultural/food productions are embarked on, leading increased agro-food waste (AFW) generation with enormous handling costs evade its contribution environmental pollution. The advent of biorefineries fostered a healthy balance for tackling challenges from AFW – thereby promoting circular bioeconomy (CBE). Integrating several emerging microbial/enzymatic bioconversion processes facilitated overall increase in process efficiency. This review, therefore, provides extensive information ecological impacts AFW, as well biorefinery sustainability. We also critically reviewed advances integrated engineering valorization. Finally, limitations prospects real-life application these recent approaches were suggested.

In recent years, biofuel production has attracted considerable attention, especially given the increasing worldwide demand for energy and emissions of greenhouse gases that threaten this planet. case, one possible solution is to convert biomass into green sustainable biofuel, which can enhance bioeconomy contribute economic development goals. Due being in large quantities containing high organic content, various sources such as food waste, textile microalgal agricultural waste sewage sludge have gained significant attention production. Also, technologies, including thermochemical processing, anaerobic digestion, fermentation bioelectrochemical systems, been extensively reported, achieve valorization through producing biofuels re-utilizing wastes. Nevertheless, commercial feasibility still determined, it unclear whether compete equally with other existing fuels market. The concept a circular economy promote environmentally friendly waste. This review comprehensively discusses state-of-the-art from perspectives associated it. Biofuel evaluated within framework bioeconomy. Further on integration approaches maximizing utilization are discussed, what could mean economy. More research related pretreatment machine learning should be conducted optimize process, increase yield make prices competitive.
