Microplastics (MPs) degradation due to light radiation, weathering, water erosion and biodegradation might change MPs physical chemical characteristics thereby behaviors in natural environments. This study conducted a comparison investigation on polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE) polyamide (PA) three different environmental conditions, namely simulated UV light, body. The results showed that of environments is more complex than the case controlled experimental condition (such as light). In conditions body, are easily covered by sediments/microorganisms. Due to the increasing amount of microplastics (MPs) in environment, various technologies for their removal have been investigated. One possible are phytoremediation methods, but insufficient understanding interactions between MPs and aquatic macrophytes limits further development. In this context, aim study was investigate polyethylene floating macrophyte Lemna minor terms extent time frame adhesion plant biomass, stability under water movement nature adsorption process through isotherm models. The results showed that maximum number adhered reached after 24 h. With increased biomass as well. Slow had no statistically significant effect on MPs. Among several models, Freundlich model best fit experimental data, which assumes weak binding biomass. Finally, 79% removed during 15 cycles (i.e., replaced with new times) it calculated 53 would be needed remove all from phase test conditions.

Fluorescent labeling and imaging is a useful tool to track the temporal spatial distribution of microplastics (MPs) with size shape features. However, limited fluorescently labeled MPs spheres, photo-bleaching leaching organic small molecular dyes hamper tracking in environment. In this work, phenyl-modified carbon nitride (PMCN) fluorescent polymer was prepared applied for staining eight different types MPs. The interface interaction mechanism between PMCN investigated by desorption experiments. long-time photo-stability stained against ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation, freeze-thaw cycles, various environmental factors real water samples evaluated. showed more robust stability than common dye (Nile red) damage when exposure UV 72 h, treatment cycles 60 days, strong acid, alkali, high salinity, freshwater (river lake) or seawater days. Results indicate promising as convenient, efficient universal tracer visually migration system.

Achieving ecological conservation and governance based on ecosystem services (ESs) can balance regional protection development, which is of great significance for sustainable development. Existing research has mainly focused the extraction priority areas, thereby neglecting to consider classification management engineering areas. To improve governance, we combine ESs dust movement trajectory, using Beijing-Tianjin Sandstorm Source Control Project (BTSSCP) as object generate watersheds’ zones. Six were assessed determine Trajectory simulation movement, Hybrid Single-Particle Lagrangian Integrated (HYSPLIT) model potential source contribution function, was used determined zones affected by dust. By combining these two aspects, five main clusters identified. We found that: (1) area with low in northwest BTSSCP suffered from severe impacts; (2) slight dust-affected distributed eastern BTSSCP, area, gradually decreased south north; (3) region primarily influenced natural factors influencing vary among different These findings will not only contribute overall planning but offer general guidance formulation targeted restoration measures other
