Integrated farming of rice (IFA), as a time-honored agricultural model, can effectively increase productivity and provide ecological benefits. Rice-wheat rotation rice-crayfish ( Procambarus clarkii ) are two most widely applied IFA patterns in China. In this study, we compared the differences soil microbial communities predicted their functions these models by sequencing 16s rRNA analyzing bioinformation. The results showed that crayfish increased abundance diversity microorganisms. main differentially abundant phyla between groups were Actinobacteriota, Bacteroidota, Desulfobacterota, while genera Bacteroidetes_vadinHA17 , Sphingomonas Thiobacillus . Similarity Percentages (SIMPER) analysis indicated species also had highest contribution to composition groups. Random forest prediction was employed identify potential biomarkers distinguish communities. Spirochaetota identified biomarker phyla. Streptomyces Kribbella Paludibacter could serve genera. Functional Annotation Prokaryotic Taxa (FAPROTAX) revealed dominant bacterial rice-wheat model aerobic chemoheterotrophy chemoheterotrophy. contrast, more diverse, primarily including methylotrophy, human pathogens all methanotrophy. co-occurrence network enhanced modularity community, fewer nodes edges, which implying internal connections. conclusion, wheat planting drove significant paddy fields, with Actinobacteriota Desulfobacterota biomarkers. Compared cultivation, system incorporating richness functions, promoted presence keystone connecting roles. Our study would not only clarify effects different on communities, should valuable insights for future adjusting cropping controlling current problems.

To support the sustainable development of rice and aquaculture industries, various rice-animal coculture systems have been developed. One such system, rice-crab system (RCC), has practiced for decades in northern China. However, studies on crab physiological status RCC remain limited. Microorganisms play a crucial role by influencing animal nutrition, health, nutrient cycling, water quality, environmental impact. Research gut microbiota is scarce. This study compared growth performance, immune digestive enzyme activities crabs between traditional pond farming (PF). In addition, guts, water, sediment from both was investigated using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Crabs exhibited superior performance higher enzymatic activities, including acid phosphatase (ACP), alkaline (AKP), lipase (LPS), trypsin (TRY). Significant differences were observed composition across gut, samples, respectively. had lower abundance Bacteroidota Firmicutes their microbiota. The environment enriched with beneficial bacteria as Rhizobiales, Methylococcales, KD4-96, C39, Xanthomonadales, Nitrosomonadaceae. Microbial function predictions confirmed enhanced methanotrophy nitrogen fixation RCC. enhances rate capability crabs. consume more animal-based which results distinct levels LPS TRY to those PF. Additionally, supports environmentally that contribute greenhouse gas reduction, carbon fixation, organic matter decomposition, ammonia oxidation, benefiting ecosystem. These findings enhance our understanding physiology microbial communities PF systems.

Eco-agricultural technology is crucial to alleviating agricultural resource scarcity and environ-mental pressures. However, financial constraint affects its successful promotion. Digital finance has a significant impact on farmers, but existing research lacks an exploration of the digital farmers' adoption eco-agricultural technology. This study focuses Rice–Crayfish Co-cultivation Technology as example. It utilizes survey data from 1,063 households in China. An Endogenous Switching Probit model employed solve self-selection bias. The results reveal several key findings. First, average treatment effect treated 51.5%. indicates that if farmers who use were stop using it, probability adopting rice–crayfish co-cultivation would decrease by Therefore, beneficial for this Second, heterogeneity analysis reveals greater promoting older those with lower education levels, higher proportions income. suggests reliance services among vulnerable groups. Third, promotes constraints, expanding information channels, increasing social capital accumulation. Overall, findings offer valuable insights for-mulating supportive policies.
