A new, accurate, and easy-to-use UV-spectrophotometry method for analyzing favipiravir in both bulk tablet forms has been developed. Favipiravir, an antiviral drug, is classified as a modified pyrazine analogue also known 6-fluoro-3-hydroxypyrazine-2-carboxamide. The drug’s concentration was determined by measuring zero-order derivative values at wavelength of 323 nm. linear plot constructed, demonstrating linearity within the range 4-20 µg mL-1, with impressive correlation coefficient (r2) 0.9997 spectrophotometry method. method’s limits detection (LOD) quantification (LOQ) were to be 0.08 g 0.26 g, respectively. All suggested methods rigorously tested make sure they met standards set International Council Harmonization Technical Requirements Pharmaceuticals Human Use. developed are characterized their linearity, accuracy, precision sensitivity.

However, the emergence antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a growing concern, with potential to cause public health crisis in future.
