Abstract Agro-waste is the outcome of under-utilization bioresources and a lack knowledge to re-use this waste in proper ways or circular economy approach. In Indian medicinal system, root Cyperus scariosus (CS) used at large scale due their vital properties. Unfortunately, aerial part CS treated as agro-waste an under-utilized bioresource. Due knowledge, weed. This present study first ever attempt explore leaves medicinally nutrient rich source. To determine food nutritional values neglected R.Br. (CS), i.e. leaves, phytochemicals metal ions were quantified by newly developed HPLC ICPOES-based methods. The content observed analysis for caffeic acid, catechin, epicatechin, trans-p-coumaric trans-ferulic acid was 10.51, 276.15, 279.09, 70.53, 36.83 µg/g, respectively. GC–MS/MS analysis, fatty acids including linolenic phytol, palmitic etc. identified. ICPOES significant Na, K, Ca, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Zn observed. TPC TFC 17.933 mg GAE eq./g 130.767 QCE along with IC 50 value 2.78 mg/mL DPPH assay better antacid activity measured than standard (CaCO 3 ). methanolic extract showed anti-microbial against Staphylococcus aureus (15 ± 2 mm), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (12 mm) Escherichia coli (10 mm). silico studies confirmed vitro results obtained from antioxidant, antiacid, studies. addition, revealed anti-cancerous anti-inflammatory potential leaves. study, thus, demonstrated significance conversion into mankind pharmaceutical potent material. Consequently, highlighted that have importance good utility industry improving bio-valorization environment.

Many countries face the problem of agroindustrial waste elimination, which is linked to environmental damage caused by improper management. These wastes contain bioactive compounds often discarded due a lack knowledge. The objective this study was analyze five types from Peru, including avocado ( Persea americana ) seeds, lucuma Pouteria grape Vitis vinifera pomace, mango Mangifera indica peel, and cocoa Theobroma cacao pods. This includes proximal analysis, determination total phenolic compound content, analysis UHPLC– Q/Orbitrap/ESIMS/MS (Ultrahigh-performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization Q-Orbitrap mass spectrometry), evaluation antioxidant, antimicrobial, antifungal activities different samples. results showed that seeds had highest protein content 6.59 g/100 g DW. Mango peels fat 4.89 DW, pods crude fiber 26.91 exhibited ash 7.14 carbohydrate found in at 85.85 (56.66 mg GAE/g DW), (56.35 (51.52 DW) extracts contents. peel extract antioxidant evaluated ABTS (995.01 μmol TEAC/g DPPH (953.54 FRAP (1661.13 assays. Extracts pods, inhibitory activity on growth Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli . In contrast, only one over Penicillium digitatum As result, several were detected each, indicating their potential use developing functional foods food preservation, among other applications.

The process of rose oil distillation generates a huge amount waste byproducts, which often remain unused, and poses serious environmental challenges; at the same time, they contain polyphenols with antioxidant, antimicrobial, therapeutic properties. purpose this work is to investigate possible application ultrafiltration using three polyacrylonitrile membranes (molecular weight cut-off 1 kDa, 10 25 kDa) recover total polyphenolic compounds, phenolic acids, flavonoids from wastewater. permeate flux, energy demand, contents flavonoid compounds were determined during volume reduction ratio 2, 4, 6 8, rejections concentration factors established. optimal operation conditions for rejection, factor, antioxidant activity established transmembrane pressure 0.5 MPa, kDa membrane. These working will be used in our future investigations obtain extrudates rice semolina enriched ultrafiltered Protocatechuic vanillic acid, by HPLC, increased retentate when membrane was used, while gallic catechin, p-coumaric rutin, hesperidin, rosmarinic acid decreased.

The rise in consumption of oranges worldwide causes an increase orange peel, which accounts for 30 – 35% the orange’s weight. Phenolic compounds found peel are conjugated with cell wall components. utilization solid-state fermentation by Aspergillus niger can release bound phenolic from wall, thereby hence increases extraction. This study aims to determine effects time using A. and extraction solvents (methanol, ethanol, acetone) on yield extract, total content, flavonoid antioxidant activity, hesperidin content extract. results showed that all parameters performed best after 3 days fermentation. extract yield, were 34.1% (dry weight), 51.01 mg GAE/g 14.75 QE/g respectively. Moreover, highest activity (IC50 value) 184.32 ppm 27.47 mg/g weight) 80% ethanol. Furthermore, deep eutectic solvent as a biodegradable environmentally benign substitute organic was investigated, proving alternative mixture choline chloride ethylene glycol is competitive.
