Abstract Low‐carbon sustainable development is considered an essential strategy for achieving economic growth and environmental protection, requiring a fundamental transformation of the industrial structure, including developing clean technologies, promoting energy efficiency, adopting production consumption patterns. Simultaneously, evolving digital economy acknowledged as driver in optimizing structure. Therefore, can reshape structure lead to low‐carbon development? The main purpose this paper examine mediating role upgrading relationship between development. Its ultimate explore more possible paths achieve This builds regression model based on data cities. We found that directly promote development, conclusion still holds after endogeneity discussion robustness testing. Additionally, thus meaning effective mechanism provides empirical evidence positive externalities establishes basic research framework “digital → development.”

In this study, the focus is on examining influence of renewable energy consumption, economic risk, and financial risk load capacity factor (LF) within BRICS countries. The analysis covers time span from 1990 to 2019. empirical strategy uses Method Moments Quantile Regression (MMQR) long-run estimators (Fixed Effects Ordinary Least Squares, FE-OLS; Dynamic DOLS; Fully Modified FMOLS). findings highlight presence a cointegrating relationship. Moreover, fossil fuels growth cause LF decrease, while use sources increase deepening LF. Furthermore, results MMQR method are confirmed by DOLS, FMOLS, FE-OLS estimates. Causality also demonstrate that these factors may forecast ecological quality, indicating policies for energy, can all have an impact degree light research, policymakers should strongly encourage expenditures environmentally friendly technologies stability efficiency as well sustain widespread adoption energy-saving products.

This research examined consumption-based carbon emission reduction by nuclear energy consumption and environmental tax while considering the context of trade globalization in highest five emitter nations from 1990 to 2020. study used various empirical methodologies, including preliminary analysis check stationarity cointegration, CS-ARDL for long-run analysis, CCEMG, AMG robustness, DH causality test short-term pairwise causation. The results indicated that consumption, tax, help mitigate emissions economic growth population density boost emissions. Furthermore, also found two-way casual connection exists between density, Thus, emphasize need government policies encourage as a strategy reduce achieve maintain development.

Abstract Sustainable and inclusive development aims to achieve long‐term economic growth while ensuring environmental social sustainability. This study investigates the significance of Belt Road Initiative (B&R) in promoting sustainable Chinese provinces along its route, considering it a quasi‐natural experiment. To assess effects, we construct an index system that captures critical dimensions development. The results reveal B&R has positively influenced route. impact is facilitated through transmission mechanisms such as technological innovation upgrading industrial structures. However, variations exist between Silk Economic those Maritime Road, with former experiencing more pronounced effects. These findings provide valuable foundation for government leverage develop comprehensive sustainable, strategies. Furthermore, this offers insights into high‐quality open economy context.
