Wearable Thermoregulating Devices (WTDs) are increasingly recognized for their potential in enhancing occupant health and wellbeing cold environments, particularly individuals most susceptible to cold. While existing literature primarily explores these devices' impact on thermal comfort, there remains a gap understanding the variety of WTDs and, crucially, factors influencing acceptance use. We conducted scoping review synthesize state knowledge device types, research designs affecting user satisfaction, perception adoption foster future development consumer uptake. selected 52 studies out from an initial pool 2105 using structured protocol. Besides predominant focus young participants climate chambers various kinds subjective measurements, further findings reveal significant emphasize physiological aspects lack psychology (n = 1, 0.2 %) or design 5, 11 %). These underscore urgent need investigations extending current demographic environmental tendencies incorporate user-centric principles. Ultimately, this aims facilitate WTDs, bridging between technological advances real-world application.

People spend most of their time indoors. However, indoor temperature and individual thermal exposure are generally not considered in epidemiological studies health. Based on the American Society Heating, Refrigerating, Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) RP-884 Database, ASHRAE Global Thermal Comfort Database II Chinese this study first explored relationship between outdoor temperature, sensation from a global perspective. Moreover, potential influence spatiotemporal heterogeneity health was explored. A breakpoint found at approximately 11.5 °C segmented regression slope curve greater when above (n = 67,896). multi-group propensity score matching (PSM) generalizedadditivemodels (GAM), temperatures after adjusting for building type year. Furthermore, influenced by temperature. This highlights importance considering or temperature-related studies.
