Eutrophication is the term used to describe presence of natural and artificial nutrients like phosphorus nitrogen in aquatic ecosystems. The water quality various bodies such as ponds, lakes, rivers, etc. deteriorating a result an abundance plant these sources. Over-enrichment ecosystems with major hazard well-being worldwide. In addition, circulations have lowered requirements for home agricultural consumption water. main origins within stem from discharges industries engaged activities livestock farming, agriculture, fertilizer production, manufacturing textiles, clothing production. Therefore, variety methods approaches already been developed safety measures avoid negative consequences tainted those undesired minerals. presents many obstacles, but right public awareness campaign global scientific efforts, its impacts may be lessened. This research seeks pinpoint primary ecosystem explore potential triggers eutrophication. Additionally, it proposes innovative regulatory offers suggestions sustainable wastewater management practices.

Submerged macrophytes are essential for the restoration of shallow lakes maintaining clear-water conditions. The presence fish can affect nutrient cycles and growth submerged in lakes. In this study, a 28-day mesocosm experiment was carried out with an herbivorous Ctenopharyngodon idella (CID) omni-benthivorous Carassius auratus (CAU) to investigate their effects on macrophyte Hydrilla verticillata phosphorus (P) cycle results showed that CID slowed down H. while CAU no significant effect. overlying water, only increased ammonium nitrogen (NH3-N) concentration later stage due excretion, elevated particulate (PP) levels during through disturbance. Meanwhile, radial oxygen loss photosynthesis might promote formation NaOH-P HCl-P sediment, respectively. Changes water sediment properties caused by contribute increase eutrophication risk index (ERI). Our findings suggest has potential be indirect biological manipulation tool, should controlled minimize its negative impacts P

The mechanisms driving changes in the stability of phosphorus (P) sediments under lake ecosystem degradation remain poorly understood. This study investigated P-binding forms from three plateau lakes with different trophic states Yunnan Province, China, aiming to elucidate responses sediment P compositions human activities, status, and dissolved organic matter (DOM) characteristics. results showed that activity directly contributed retention. type exerted a discernible effect on mobility sediments, as eutrophic algae-type had higher content mobile-P. Moreover, DOM promoted adsorption BD-P NH4Cl-P. Generally, exogenous pollution caused by leads eutrophication decline stability. variation was largely influenced water depth. A decrease increased which increases risk endogenous pollution. plays an important role P. These insights offer novel perspective for understanding how characteristics are related loads lakes.
