The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects continuous application rice straw and biochar for 10 years on soil humus composition structure in paddy soil. A 10-year field experiment conducted a included three treatments: (SC); (RS), no or straw. elemental analyser, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectrum, three-dimensional excitation-emission matrix (3D EEM) fluorescence spectroscopy with regional integration (FRI) analysis were used under different treatments. results verified that incorporation significantly improved pH values organic carbon contents compared control. Rice increased extractable humus, humic acid (HA) fulvic soil, while only affected HA degree values. molecular by is characterised high humification aromaticity, but aliphaticity structure, as presented composition. Moreover, 3D EEM combined FRI showed RS treatment formed had more aliphatic compounds, SC aromatic components humus. These suggest promotes renewal enhances aromaticity HA.
