The application of the bacterial dissimilatory nitrate reduction to ammonium (DNRA) process for treating nitrate-rich wastewater offers an environmentally friendly and resource-efficient strategy with significant potential nitrogen recovery. This study investigates impact carbon sources, C/N ratios, pH, temperature on DNRA efficiency Pseudomonas sp. strain LZ-1 (strain LZ-1). results revealed that sodium citrate is most favorable source among formate, acetate, propionate, enhancing in LZ-1. Ammonia production by peaks at a 8 within range 3 20, increasing before decreasing thereafter. Furthermore, neutral alkaline conditions (pH 7-10) are process, optimal initial pH 9.
