As public concern for maritime safety grows, there is a pressing need to delve deeper into the root causes of accidents and develop effective preventive strategies. Spatial-temporal analysis stands out as powerful approach pinpointing accident hot spots. While previous research has shed light on spatial aspects these incidents, comprehensive understanding their temporal dimensions remains elusive. This paper bridges this gap by leveraging Space-Time Cube tool in conjunction with traditional Kernel Density chart spatial-temporal dynamics Focusing East China Sea, region notorious its high incidence home numerous world-class ports, we present case study that offers fresh insights. Data spanning from 1994 2020, sourced Lloyd’s List Intelligence (LLI) database, reveal evolving landscape area. Notably, since 2005, Yangtze River Delta Region emerged persistent spot accidents, underscoring significance discourse. Furthermore, our 2010s detects new expanding towards southwest Kaohsiung Port, China, signaling burgeoning area safety. Fujian coast seen share it not qualified zone. A high-resolution carbon dioxide emission inventory is essential for accurate assessment and management. This study used a top-down spatial proxy model to develop (1 km) East Asia from 2012 2021. Combining multiple data sources with geographically weighted regressions can improve the accuracy of distribution sectors within inventories. To demonstrate accuracy, we compared our existing inventories, such as Multi-resolution Emission Inventory China, which uses 'bottom-up' approach. We outline discuss convergence divergence in estimation results different approaches, finding generally consistent results. Based on grid, nationally, China accounted over 80% Asia's emissions, followed by Japan South Korea. The hotspot driver analyses reveal persistent hotspots Northern Eastern well new trends Northwestern China. main drivers emissions growth are economic changes energy mix. cold regions vary depending regional characteristics. Actionable insights provided targeted reduction strategies. Continued occurred across period 2012-2021, emerged Northwest according Asia.

Engineering activities along the Sichuan–Tibet Railway (STR) could cause land degradation and threaten surrounding ecological security. It is crucial to evaluate integrated ecology during after construction of this project. This study assesses STR corridor from 2000 2022 using a transfer matrix, analytic hierarchy process (AHP), PSR-TOPSIS model. The main results are as follows: (1) novel comprehensive assessment including nine indicators feasible. (2) high-quality ecological, surface vegetation, environmental regions were concentrated in Ya’an Nyingchi, whereas low-quality situated Qamdo Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. (3) There was an overall decline quality 2022. While it steadily improved Nyingchi 2010 2022, continued around region. (4) most degraded land-use type 22 years grassland, farmland secure type. Overall, spatial analyses examinations residue disposal sites suggested that these locations have negatively impacted since beginning Our findings implications for preserving ecosystem ensuring sustainability

ABSTRACT The Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) is a key eco‐environmental protection barrier and economic engine in China. Understanding the characteristics of its spatiotemporal evolution mechanisms driving these changes important for revealing shifts ecosystem structure function. However, governing elements ecological environment how components interact remain unclear due to strong coupling impact urbanization climate change. This paper constructed long‐term series remote sensing based index (RSEI) evaluate variation YREB during 2000–2024. Subsequently, fundamental reasons were quantitatively analyzed using optimal parameters‐based geographical detector (OPGD). Results indicated: (1) average RSEI was 0.68, indicating rather high overall quality (EEQ), with 73% region having values more than 0.60. regions excellent conditions concentrated Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, while poorer areas northwestern Yunnan, southwestern Sichuan, western Hubei. (2) EEQ mainly showed degradation trend, degraded exceeding 80% over past 25 years. In future, most might face higher risks degradation. (3) Digital elevation model (DEM), temperature (Tem), population (POP) factors environment. There significant interactions between certain factors, interaction DEM potential evapotranspiration (Pet) explaining 62.2% distribution. findings assisted creation an civilization by offering policy proposals managing conserving environments.

Coal fires are disasters that occur when underground coal seams subjected to combustion conditions induced by natural or human factors. This study attempts investigate the impact of on surrounding environment assessing eco-environmental quality and its dynamic changes in Surablak fire area. To achieve this, an improved remote sensing ecological index (termed RSEIds) is introduced assess track dynamics area from 1990 2022. Subsequently, this combined with a geographic detector (GeoDetector) model identify potential factors influencing quality. The findings indicate (1) compared established Remote Sensing Ecological Index (RSEI), RSEIds provides high degree precision reflecting within regions affected fires, (2) underwent continuous deterioration 2022, degradation constituting 53.41% region, (3) excellent good values mainly found forested mountainous located northern section area, whereas poor fair largely coincide locations, (4) since 2006, distance has become key factor while temperature precipitation remained important outcomes will provide essential references for guiding restoration promoting sustainable development areas.
