The waste slag produced from antimony mining contains a large amount of toxic heavy metals, which pose serious risks to the ecological environment and human health. This study selected area leachate as research subjects, applying geoaccumulation index method, Nemerow pollution potential risk health assessment model for evaluation. The results indicate that average values Pb, As, Cd, Sb in exceed soil background Hunan Province. In leachate, significantly exceeds standard limits, with 67% samples exceeding threshold.Spatially, As show trend decreasing south north, while spatial distribution other metals varies greatly. The method shows severe contamination Cd slag, primarily affected by pollution. The indicates both extremely high risks, respectively. The drinking water is primary pathway contributing significant non-carcinogenic posed As.Carcinogenic Cr exceeded carcinogenic limits two populations pathways. The this provide scientific basis prevention control metal resources areas.

Abstract The Lou-Shao Basin in Hunan Province, as a high geological background area, contains two sets of black rock series rich various potential toxic heavy metal elements. These are elements such cadmium, lead, zinc, copper, vanadium, nickel, etc. This paper selects the soil and crops core arable land area under research object analyzes current status element pollution non-rhizosphere soil, rhizosphere major crops. results show that due to weathering shale into content (such Cd, Ni, Cu, As, Hg, Pb, Mn) is significantly higher, exceeding values Hunan, making it typical area. Igeo level chromium (Cr) relatively all (maize Igeo=6.71), indicating serious pollution. situation other varies with different crops, consistent Pollution Load Index (PLI) results. spatial distribution shows strong pattern, high-value areas concentrated southeastern region. ecological risk each samples Cr > Mn Cd As Se, while crop Se Pb Hg. Human health assessment indicates humans may be exposed these metals through skin contact food chain intake. hazard index (HI value) greater than 1, carcinogenicity lead related diseases kidney stones, posing higher children.
