"Inverse vulcanization" sulfur polymers present an environmentally friendly approach for producing highly water repellent (superhydrophobic) materials. However, exposure to UV irradiation can lead the degradation of these into hydrophilic compounds, thereby compromising long-term superhydrophobic properties coatings. In this study, 2,4,6,8-tetramethyl-2,4,6,8-tetravinylcyclotetrasiloxane (TVTSi) was employed synthesize (poly(S-TVTSi) capable withstanding while preserving photocatalytic properties. Employing a central composite design, poly(S-TVTSi) combined with inorganic nanoparticles (SiO2 and TiO2) fabricate A variation in materials composition used investigate influence on Including polymer (sulfur:TVTSi ratio), roughness agent (TiO2:SiO2 concentration (roughness agent), relative amount poly(S-TVTSi). The identified as main factor affecting contact angle (WCA), whereas all factors (above) generally influenced transmittance, photocatalysis, stability. Using tailored desirability function, study demonstrated that high-performing coating exhibited superior stability (up 300 min) superhydrophobicity (WCA > 150°). also identifies number coatings robust superhydrophobicity, maintaining WCA 150° across extreme pH varying concentrations aqueous NaCl. displayed versatile activity against diverse organic contaminants emerging concern bodies, such caffeine saccharin. made surpass limited polymers. These demonstrate performance those previously reported, they viable alternative production durable
