Habitat type and habitat change are very important factors in the body condition of small mammals that inhabit them. The response can be positive, increasing, or opposite, decreasing condition. We analyzed outliers indices (BCIs) 12 species trapped nine different habitats during 1980–2023 Lithuania, a mid-latitude country. Mixed fragmented habitats, as well commensal could considered least suitable for mammals, based on highest proportions underfit low best-fit individuals. On contrary, meadows disturbed (landfills cormorant colonies) had individuals, while proportion under-fit individuals was much lower than expected. found BCI all species, except harvest mice (Micromys minutus), though not numerous. presence yellow-necked (Apodemus flavicollis) bank voles (Clethrionomys glareolus) studied house (Mus musculus) may related to resources provided by these habitats. Our results demonstrate feasibility using retrospective mammal morphometric data analyze their relationship with habitat.
