It has been shown that there are thresholds of influence on the response ecosystem services to their drivers, and range drivers provide high levels can be delineated through thresholds. However, due spatial heterogeneity landscapes in karst regions, results service threshold studies non-karst regions may not applicable regions. This study explores effects between natural social drivers. is nonlinear constraints them, different critical exist for kinds services. The main water supply include slope (43.64°) relief amplitude (331.60 m); purification services, they (147.05 m) distance urban land (DTUL) (32.30 km); soil conservation normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) (0.80) nighttime light intensity (43.58 nW∙cm−2∙sr−1); biodiversity maintenance population density (1481.06 person∙km−2) (32.80 km). enables regional ecological planning based ranges corresponding meet needs decision makers.

Though numerous studies acknowledge the critical role played by green spaces (GS) in bolstering sustainability various dimensions, a majority of these investigations primarily center on ecological aspect and urban environments. Due to multifaceted benefits GSs, different categories expectations can be identified across disciplines. Hence, no single method exists for evaluating success GSs promoting due variety expectations. This study provides framework public (PGS) holistically based discourse, specifically including rural transitional rural-urban areas, with focus GS's recreational values. Employing systematic review 130 publications sourced from Web Science, Scopus, Google Scholar ensuing content analysis, we elaborated 14 distinct qualities, accessibility, connectedness, responsiveness, activity, social interactions, facilities, safety security, spaciousness, biodiversity, perceptual value, aesthetic symbolic value. The interrelationships among qualities are also elucidated through analysis. These utilized as novel approach evaluate efficiency PGSs sustainability.

Community support plays a crucial role in driving financial investments, managing system enhancements, ecological initiatives, and governance improvements urban park development. This study adopts Social Exchange Theory (SET) to analyze predict the dynamics of community for development, focusing on interplay between attachment, perceived benefits, costs. SET posits that positive initial perceptions or actions foster trust commitment through relational exchanges, encouraging continued participation, whereas negative may inhibit engagement. Based data from 349 survey responses (58.5% male, 32.4% female, 9.1% undisclosed) collected Onyang-dong, region notable its historic thermal spring attractions South Korea, this employs structural equation modeling examine how these factors contribute support. The results demonstrate attachment significantly enhances benefits while costs exert negligible effect These findings provide actionable insights strengthening theoretical practical application community-driven initiatives. By addressing conceptual clarity fostering participatory strategies enhance offers robust framework achieving long-term success

"Nature-based solutions" (NBS) are now widely referred to as a way of making anthropized ecosystems more sustainable. NBS stems from the principles ecological engineering conceptualized by Odum. based on an approach centered energy flows and ecosystem self-regulation. Despite their growing popularity, implementation these remains complex often focused solely societal benefits, with little benefit biodiversity. The current climate crisis calls for reconsideration our relationship integrating both objectives in new mobilization societies crisis. This is what advocated socio-ecological restoration, recent developed during coastal cities after Japan. proposes joint repair human cohesion, using elements taken historical landmarks before disturbance, enabling anchoring regain viable trajectory. Socio-ecological restoration not classic program activity, process which several actors get involved relying each other, without expression itself. We generalize this beyond post-disaster or post-conflict situations, modify development practices create real between living humans non-humans. In respect, we use reopening River region example relevant because it involves community responds issues. conclusion, make five recommendations adapting NBS, view only environments resilient global change, also those that concern entire non-human world overlooked field practices. By opting eco-centric approach, NBSs could be line IUCN's initial definition, ultimately becoming Solutions Based For Nature, challenges field.
