Color is a captivating aspect of our perception, profoundly influencing how we interact with and interpret the world. As fundamental element visual experience, it shapes emotions, preferences, even physiological responses. Beyond its esthetic emotional impact, color serves practical purposes across various fields, including medicine for diagnostics therapeutic applications in industrial sectors quality control product identification. Colorimetric sensors that are user-friendly, portable, instrument-free, low cost, yet provide sensitive selective detection analytes, essential point-of-need point-of-care applications. This book chapter will discuss smart materials approaches used colorimetric measurement-based biosensor methods biomedical, diagnostic, food safety, environmental pollution

Abstract Bacterial granular sludge (BGS) process is currently believed to be feasible biological technique for wastewater treatment. However, several shortcomings have been identified. Hence, it became critical employ environment‐friendly microalgae in the granulation process. The microalgal‐bacterial (M‐BGS) nutrient removal relies mostly on microbial absorption. peculiar shape of M‐BGS can give rise improved separation among and treated wastewater. this article provides a review literature developments applications aerobic emphasized current state use treatment discussed effects physical, environmental, operational, microbiological factors system. identified inhibitory effect various xenobiotic compounds that could induce decoupling symbiosis systems. has proven effective as ecologically beneficial sustainable remedies challenges faced during

Tetracyclines (TCs) pollution in vegetable fields is a widely recognized concern, yet the health and ecological risks of TCs residues soil–cabbage food chain remain unclear. This study used enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to investigate associated with contamination (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis) systems better understand accumulation its impact on human health. The edible parts Chinese cabbage TCs-contaminated soils were assessed using risk quotient method (RQ) method, respectively. results showed that after 65 days tetracycline (TC), chlortetracycline (CTC), oxytetracycline (OTC) treatments, degradation rates soil higher black than purplish clay soil, following order OTC > CTC TC. As three types concentration increased (0–20 mg kg−1), their leaves roots was generally soil. values also TC OTC. Under controlled pot experimental conditions, content grown posed moderate children aged 1–6 years (0.1 < HQ 1.0), while contents indicated low both adults (HQ ≤ 0.1). Additionally, all high (RQ ≥ being Consequently, more fertile can help mitigate safety.
