Abstract The rising cases of corrosion problems in pipelines, refineries, water treatment and petrochemical plants, as well power generation plants recent time have been attributed to industrialization. longevity dependability essential assets must be ensured through effective management. various techniques applied for protection are discussed this review. But years, the development response surface methods (RSM) artificial neural networks (ANN) has shown exciting prospects transform monitoring process. This review paper gives a thorough overview optimisation strategies. role ANN RSM predicting using parameters is discussed. By providing insights into current state research on ANN, aims promote deeper understanding. emphasises how crucial it adequately manage if last long function consistently.

This study investigates the effects of lanthanum (La) on microstructure and corrosion resistance Fe–20Cr–18Ni–6Mo–0.8Cu stainless steel in seawater. Microstructural analysis shows that La addition refines grain size alters precipitated phases. X‐ray diffraction confirms austenitic structures, while transmission electron microscopy reveals formation Cu 5 compounds ferrite/σ Electrochemical tests indicate sample without has highest open‐circuit potential best nonseawater conditions. However, after 16 days seawater exposure, 0.5 wt% exhibits superior with a rate 0.0175 mm/a, higher contents (1.0 1.5 wt%) leads to poor large craters. Scanning minimal surface for sample. In sulfate‐reducing bacteria environments, enhances resistance, except pitting observed Kelvin probe force fluctuation (from −30 10 mV) 0 sample, indicating resistance. provides insights into role rare earth elements super steels.
