Abstract In order to evaluate the seasonal responses of periphytic protozoan fauna antibiotic nitrofurazone at sensitive concentration, a 1-year baseline survey was carried out in Chinese coastal waters Yellow Sea. To assess (NFZ)-induced toxicokinetics different season, test samples were collected using microscope slides and exposed NFZ concentration 8 mg ml −1 . Differences species composition typical observed organism control treatment among four seasons. However, community patterns significantly shifted under with part stressed departed from respected taxonomic pattern. Therefore, it is suggested that may be changed same both pattern, although there significant differences tolerant seasons marine environments.
