The annually wasted amount of food has surpassed 1 billion metric tons. Food waste is considered as an important source for the recovery bioactive compounds, such carotenoids. There a demand antioxidants, nutraceuticals and natural colorants in various industries carotenoids are one commonly used compounds that fit this description. Pumpkin spinach waste, whose combined over 2 million tons, contains these foods could be utilized Carotenoids hydrophobic molecules; therefore, commercial extraction processes often use highly non-polar solvents, rarely environmentally friendly. aim research was to develop effective from pumpkin using friendly green chemicals. A series deep eutectic solvents (DESs) composed with L-menthol carboxylic aliphatic acids were made (Cucurbita moschata) (Spinacia oleracea) via mechanical mixing–assisted (MMAE) homogenization-assisted (HAE). Response surface methodology (RSM) analysis variance (ANOVA) analyze data optimization. DESs propionic acid had best effect on total carotenoid content (TCC) (represented β-carotene) solutions 1:2 1:4 molar ratios, respectively. yield expressed μg-β-carotene/g or spinach. Under calculated optimum conditions, yields estimated 11.528 μg-β-carotene/g-pumpkin MMAE method, 8.966 HAE 16.924 μg-β-carotene/g-spinach method 18.870 method.

The Aedes aegypti mosquito is the primary vector of dengue, a neglected disease and serious public health problem in tropical countries. control this has been carried out using chemical insecticides, which impact human health. Thus, it essential to develop natural larvicides that are less harmful environment. This study investigates circadian cycle larvicidal activity oils from Croton blanchetianus against aegypti. leaf were extracted by hydrodistillation analyzed GC-MS GC-FID. revealed variations composition at different times day. main constituents α-pinene, β-phellandrene, eucalyptol, β-caryophyllene, bicyclogermacrene, spathulenol. showed LC50 values following collection times: 55.294 ± 3.209 μg/mL 08:00 h; 95.485 2.684 12:00 64.883 1.780 17:00 h. Molecular docking simulations indicated β-caryophyllene strongly interact with active site sterol carrier protein, suggesting their role activity. These findings reinforce potential C. as an alternative for control. predictive pharmacokinetic tests PAMPA profile associated high effective cellular permeability microsomal stability, resulting metabolic stability derivatives (3) eucalyptol (6) spathulenol, indicating these compounds have highest viability low reactivity respect organ toxicity.
