Reducing Water Consumption on a Student Campus Through Communication Campaigns

Water management is a significant component of ensuring the pursuit sustainable goals in an organization. Universities are known actors committed to developing responsible behaviors students, including water consumption. The present research investigates changes student water-related campus living, due information and persuasion campaign that took place oldest university Western Romania. based on quantitative statistical approach highlighting students’ self-perceived importance allocated use saving, communication premises, with over 6000 residents. pre- post-campaign questionnaire rendered 800 valid responses, representativeness results for given campus. described targeted raising awareness sustainability issues nudging pro-environment behaviors. aimed at reducing consumption living without affecting cleanness personal hygiene, by making better existing resources. Students responded positively nudge messages reduction showering time laundry machines. led measurable waste, but need be reinforced through new campaigning, maintain water-saving behavior population.
