Circular economy is a tool based on the inclusion of environmental, social, and governance performance (ESG) in decision-making to achieve sustainable development goals (SDG). In recent years, it has become clear that business-as-usual nothing do with sustainability, alternative business models, primarily technological grounds, must be implemented mitigate damage caused by significant unpredictable effects climate change. The current situation requires unprecedented urgent changes policies models. research aimed target industrial symbiosis as one models circular economy. It evaluated benefits fostering cooperation between industries and, consequently, major impact resource efficiency ratios. quantitative qualitative methods, including literature review, assessment, application triangulation method. As result this research, authors realized matrix for regional or cross-country can used policymakers foster symbiotic interconnections wide scale. also recommend Baltic University Program (BUP) network center excellence methodological justification engage (IS).

Many cities of the world suffer from air pollution because poor planning and design heavy traffic in rapidly expanding urban environments. These conditions are exacerbated due to Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect. While there have been studies linking built environment with health, they ignored aggravating role UHI. Climatic conditions are different in cities than their geographical environment. Precise representation of the climatic parameters within an urban context is crucial for obtaining realistic results from building energy simulation studies. To this end, many research groups aim to include best representative microclimate as input simulations. Recently, coupling strategies have been adopted facilitate a rapid and accurate exchange information between models output more that cannot be obtained solo Despite presence review articles on modeling simulation, these two has not studied recent literature. In context, present article goes beyond available studies with up-to-date models. Available tools presented. The elucidated. Opportunities limitations provided. Further, achievements adopting summarized, compiled, discussed. Briefly, presents widely used literature particular emphasis progress tools.

Globally building sector consumes a significant amount of fossil fuel-generated grid energy which emits considerable level carbon emissions. These scenarios can be an obstacle to sustainable or smart city developments. In consists various components, windows are the most influential contribute this consumption. To abate excessive consumption, alternative glazing system is paramount. Among other available energy-efficient glazing, active switchable promising as it altered based on occupant choice. work, four glazings have been studied (electrochromic, suspended particle device, liquid crystal and gasochromic) their operating principle, factors energetic application. It evident that EC has more material aspect investigation overall application for PLDC, SPD needs study. Gasochromic potential in future not explored higher order. However, these types integration buildings how they will impact urban heat islands, part buildings, cities digital twins also discussed.

Association between short-term exposure to ambient air pollution and respiratory health is well documented. At the same time, it widely known that extreme weather events intrinsically exacerbate impact. Particularly, hot temperatures during heat waves (HW) significantly affect human health, increasing risks of mortality morbidity. Concurrently, a synergistic effect high can be combined with weather–air interaction wildfires. The purpose current review summarize literature on interplay weather, pollution, consequences worldwide, ultimate goal identifying most dangerous agents vulnerable population groups. A search was conducted using electronic databases Web Science, Pubmed, Science Direct, Scopus, focusing only peer-reviewed journal articles published in English from 2000 2021. main findings demonstrate increased level PM10 O3 results higher rates cardiopulmonary mortality. Increments PM2.5 PM10, O3, CO, NO2 concentrations temperature episodes are dramatically associated admissions hospital patients chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, daily emergency transports for asthma, acute bronchitis, premature caused by disease. Excessive risk more pronounced elderly cohorts small children. Both outdoor synergistically linked expected serious future due greater climate instability, being crucial threat global public requires responsible involvement researchers at all levels. Sustainable urban planning smart city design could reduce both islands pollution.
