This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) process to know the present status of research on urban Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) in lower-middle-income countries South Asian region, specifically India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, and Pakistan, which produced 77 relevant publications after detailed scanning published between 2013 2022. It was aimed analyze variations BGI's mentions different regions, identify BGI components found literature their promote sustainability, initiatives, priorities, knowledge gaps for future research. The review reveals significant differences distribution among countries, with majority articles focusing green spaces compared bluescapes concentrating topics like local inhabitant's perception spaces, advantages implementing nature-based solutions, role infrastructures minimizing heat island effect, air pollution, etc. Articles highlighted lack governance challenges designing network. However, discussing holistic methodology implement promoting sustainability were limited. Gaps still exist determining appropriate strategy scope identification, creation, management, integrating it existing grey infrastructure.

Urban morphology quantitatively expresses a city’s spatial structure, internal relationships, and physical form. It has advantages for predicting urban growth analyzing the current state of cities in literature. A comprehensive study on complex relationships between heat island intensity (UHII) is great importance mitigating (UHI) effect megacities. This models morphological indicators fine resolution based three aspects: building morphology, ecological infrastructure, human activities. The model accurately captures UHII by employing definition UHI effects. relationship was further examined using extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) Shapley additive explanations (SHAP). By taking central Beijing, China as area, major findings include following: (1) Significant daytime effects were observed within research particularly during summer months, when it appears to be most severe. More than 90% region experiences varying degrees (2) significantly correlated with both 2D 3D indicators. Low sky view factor (SVF) high SVF tend mitigate UHI, whereas moderate tends aggravate UHI. (3) In densely populated areas, tall trees may more effective other forms vegetation at Based aforementioned findings, this article suggests that optimization should focus seasonality, specificity, indicator specificity megacities design planning aimed

This article reviews the critical issues surrounding development of sustainable urban environments, focusing on impact transport and form energy consumption greenhouse gas emissions. The aim is to provide an overview state-of-the-art subject unravel what directions literature suggests for planning. Current research practices are synthesized, highlighting interdependence design transportation systems in achieving sustainability goals. Important dimensions city planning policies explored, including form, sprawl, mixed land use, densification infill, public spaces, how these directly influence dynamics, modal choices consumption. Innovative approaches planning, such as transit-oriented development, technological advancements, electric mobility, also examined their potential roles transport. conclusion underscores urgency adopting holistic adaptable strategies foster calling concerted efforts from policymakers, planners, communities. Awareness conclusions can help municipal decision-makers cities a future. Finally, authors analyze important future practical applications towards developing that environmentally sound, socially equitable, economically viable.
