While electric vehicles (EVs) are expected to support decarbonizing transport, EVs can challenge the electricity system. Investigating EV charging load and its flexibility, e.g., by shifting load, is therefore crucial ensure a secure sustainable energy We develop an agent-based model investigate how different plug-in behaviors affect (future) profiles their spatial–temporal flexibility. contribute extant literature (1) revealing effect of diverse on profiles, particularly flexibility potential resulting from behaviors; (2) presenting in spatial structures, i.e. urban, rural, or suburban, home, work, public locations; (3) demonstrating detailed driving high temporal resolution. implement three future scenarios regarding infrastructure diffusion technology developments. find that impact changes behavior would be highest for urban areas increases as becomes more spatially diversified. Decision-makers policy industry use these insights evaluate distribution grids design incentives leverage EVs.

Purpose With limited empirical evidence, prior studies have proposed that green practices can be leveraged to enhance carbon neutrality. This study draws on the contingent natural resource-based view (NRBV) theorize and validate how pressure from supply chain (SC) stakeholders could amplify effect of logistics (GLPs) carbon-neutral performance (CNSCP) among firms in developing countries. Specifically, this contends high levels pressures (SCPs) (customers suppliers) influence GLPs CNSCP. Design/methodology/approach An integrated model was tested using survey data gathered 208 managers Ghana. SPSS 23 structural equation modeling were used for analyses. Findings showed all five dimensions (transportation, warehousing, packaging distribution, information sharing sustainable waste management) significantly also found varying interactive effects SCPs link between (green transportation, distribution) CNSCP, such different exert at SCPs. Practical implications offers fresh insights into leverage achieve enhanced benefits form The outcome a comprehensive understanding GLPs-CNSCP while shedding light manage SCP drive through GLPs. Social contributes policymakers enhancing decarbonization global SCs practices. Originality/value To best authors’ knowledge, is first empirically identified demonstrated these uniquely as opposed previous examined one-dimensional perspective. expands borders literature by theorizing validating necessary conditions In essence, novelty present lies integration NRBV stakeholder theories unearth mechanism optimizing GLP-CNSCP relationship, which rare literature.
