Carbon emissions from the building sector have a substantial effect on peak carbon targets. However, there are large differences in paths between different regions and buildings. This study used stochastic impacts by regression population, affluence, technology (STIRPAT) model to emission of buildings Guangzhou City. Through ridge F-tests, main driving factors affecting were identified. Finally, decreasing rate per unit area was changed predict time peak. The results analysis F-test show that urbanization rate, total floor area, consumption level residents, value-added tertiary industry, public model. minimum reduction required achieve City 2030 is 5%. provides theoretical reference for realize emissions.

The environmental protection industry is central to China’s green transition and essential for achieving the “Dual Carbon” goals. Through policy logic of expected governance, high-quality employment in this sector serves as a demonstrative model overall changes across society plays key role coordinating achievement both economic objectives. This study proposes comprehensive evaluation framework assessing industry. Using entropy method, Moran’s Index, spatial econometric models, we analyze data from 31 Chinese provinces over period 2011 2022. results show steady improvement quality within industry, although significant regional disparities persist, with eastern coastal outperforming western regions. Spatial autocorrelation analysis further reveals positive relationship levels, indicating that neighboring tend exhibit similar quality. Additionally, factors such development, fixed asset investment, government support, R&D investment were found significantly influence sector. These findings enrich research on specific sectors improve theoretical system social under “Dual-Carbon” policy.
